Rift Woodworking | Refund & Return Policy

At Rift Woodworking, we take immense pride in crafting premium, solid wood furniture designed to last a lifetime. Because of the distinct differences between our standard signature collections and our build-to-order custom projects, we utilize the following return guidelines:

Non-Custom Items (Standard Catalog Orders)

We want you to be completely thrilled with your piece. For standard, non-custom products ordered directly from our catalog timeline, we offer a 10-day return window.

  • The Window: You have 10 calendar days from the physical date of delivery to notify us that you would like to initiate a return.

  • Condition: To qualify for a full refund, items must be in their original, pristine condition and free of any modifications, structural damage, or signs of wear.

  • Return Logistics: Because furniture is heavy and complex to move, customers are responsible for arranging and paying for all return shipping or return transit costs back to our Hendersonville studio.

Custom Items & Built-to-Order Commissions

Custom designs—including any pieces involving custom dimensions, personalized metal/hardware accents, specific non-catalog sizing, or client-specified custom structural designs—are uniquely built just for you.

  • Non-Returnable: Because these pieces are engineered and crafted to match individual spaces and strict custom specifications, all custom items are final sale and completely non-returnable.

  • Deposits & Materials: Once a custom design concept is signed off and lumber/materials are milled, deposits and progressive milestones applied to custom builds cannot be refunded.

Damages & Material Issues

Every delivery is padded and handled with extreme white-glove care. However, wood is a living, structural medium.

  • Inspection upon Arrival: Please thoroughly inspect your table, bench, or desk immediately upon local delivery.

  • Transit Damage: If your item arrives with noticeable structural damage sustained during physical delivery, document it immediately with photographs and contact us within 24 hours so we can coordinate a seamless repair or replacement plan.
